ABOUT ME
My name is Marija (pronounced Maria), and I’m a knitwear designer and knitting professional with a strong focus on thoughtful construction, clear instructions, and wearable design.
I started knitting and crocheting at a very young age, around four years old, and haven’t stopped since. Alongside creating my own patterns, I work behind the scenes with designers, helping turn ideas into polished, production-ready designs.
My background combines hands-on knitting experience with technical precision (putting my otherwise very serious day job to unexpectedly good use). I offer services such as tech editing, grading, chart creation, schematic drawing, pattern writing (including ghostwriting), and style sheet development. I enjoy working on designs of all sizes, from small accessories to full garments, and I pay particular attention to consistency, clarity, and knitter-friendly instructions.
As a designer, I’m especially drawn to clean lines, interesting textures, and constructions that feel intuitive once you start knitting.
As a collaborator, I value clear communication, reliability, and respecting each designer’s individual voice.
